Malachite in crystal form

When I was 6, I went to the Rock Hound Gemboree in Bancroft, ON.

The myriad of colours and intricate crystal structures absolutely fascinated me. I couldn’t get enough of them.

And this was all created by mother nature… I was hooked!

I purchased my first rock that day and today the collection has exploded to over 400 unique specimens! (currently stored at my parents’ home because there’s not enough space at mine).

Purple amethyst, blue kyanite, green malachite, yellow wulfenite, orange mimetite, red crocoite, and more!

Many of the rocks and minerals in my collection can be used in jewelry. I’ll introduce you to some in my future posts.
